Larry Wu was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when he was a child. He has lived in Calgary since 1993 and has been an active member of the community. He has volunteered or served as a board member or committee member for various organizations, some of which are heavily focused on serving the Chinese Canadian community.

Larry attended the University of Calgary, graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. He then attended Queen’s University and obtained a Juris Doctor degree in 2013. His articling experience exposed him to a wide range of areas of law, including civil litigation, immigration, and administrative/regulatory appeals.

Larry was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015 and has a practice mainly in the litigation field. During his active practice, he obtained his Master of Laws degree in 2019, with his thesis focusing on environmental and land use regulation. He is fluent in English and Cantonese, and can serve his clients in both these languages.
